Co-op/Internship Assistance Program

Consider making a tax deductible donation to assist a Daytona Beach, FL or Prescott, AZ Co-op/Intern student with financial assistance for expenses during a Co-op/Intern semester. Your company can participate by making a donation to the Co-op/Internship Assistance Program. Your generosity could help to minimize a student’s financial concern, therefore, allowing him/her to get the maximum out of the Co-op/Intern experience.

Why not help a Co-op/Intern student defray some expenses they’ll incur when they go on a Co-op or Internship? Money could be used for gasoline to travel to the industry site, for professional clothes to wear at work, to help pay rent or even to buy food.

The Program began Summer 2003 and will continue each summer semester, as long as funding is available. We are asking for company sponsorships in order to offer this opportunity to deserving students for summer.

Applicants must comply with University Co-op/Intern policy, meet Co-op/Intern eligibility requirements and be a full-time student enrolled in the current and past semester in order to submit an application packet. A resume, transcript and an essay on What a Co-op Opportunity Will Mean to Me are required documents.

A committee of Career Services staff members will select the recipients. He/she will be awarded a Co-op/Internship Assistance Award for the summer, provided the applicant is selected by a company for a Summer Co-op/Internship and has completed a Co-op/Intern contract by the April deadline.

If you donate to the Co-op Assistance Program at the Daytona Beach, FL campus, your company will be featured in the upcoming Expo Program, which will be distributed to students, local community participants and aviation/aerospace recruiters attending the annual Industry/Career Expo. If your donation is to the Co-op Assistance Program at the Prescott, AZ campus, your company will be featured in Co-op Assistance Program advertising.
