Homeland Security

The Bachelor of Science in Homeland Security (HS) program is designed to provide the professional experience, critical thinking and analytical skills necessary to successfully begin a career in a wide variety of professions related to the security or defense of the United States.

The homeland security program allows students to be active participants in a dynamic learning environment. The core curriculum offers in depth education in law and policy, strategic planning, critical infrastructure protection and risk analysis, emergency management, business continuity and pandemic planning, terrorism, asymmetric warfare and intelligence analysis, environmental security, transportation security and industrial security. In addition, students have the ability to add marketable skills and valuable breadth with either two additional minors or a second major. This program is offered at the Florida campus.
